Halo infinite

In 343 Industries, I worked as an engine engineer and navigation specialist. I made sure all the navigation data were up to date with the automatic generation system to allow all the content creators to have access to the best data in their daily workflow, maintained the navigation system to ensure the AI was doing a wonderful job while performance stayed smooth, provided tools and features that allowed the design and QA departments to evaluate the game properly, and integrated and managed the Havok SDK to make sure we always had the newest and best navigation functionalities.

Fortnite creative maps

While I was working with JOGO, I worked on a number of maps as a gameplay engineer. I worked with the design team to evaluate whether the design was possible and worked with the engineering team to make it work within the limitations of UEFN(Unreal Engine For Fortnite).

Pili Online

I was the UI designer and game system designer for Pili Online, an MMORPG. We used custom tools to create our UI in HTML, allowing our proprietary engine to connect to the UI smoothly and easily. As a system designer, I also managed the database for all the items we had, designed the basic gameplay, and updated design documents.

Gulong Online

As a system designer, I used VBA to provide tools for the design team to manage the large-scale database for this MMORPG. The functionality provided included item search, auto-calculation of stats, and translation support.

Academic project

Cures & Curios

Cures & Curios is a virtual reality game for the HTC Vive. In the game, the player works in a medicine show cart in the Weird Old West, full of ingredients and tools. Players will concoct potions and elixirs, barter and trade with customers, and perform acts of magic.

As a gameplay engineer and technical designer, I worked on the book/dictionary system, trading system, and particle effects in Unreal 4. The goal was to maximize the Vive’s features and create a space that felt natural to move around in while playing the game.

Revolver Star

Revolver Star is a 2D, top-down, sci-fi shoot ’em up with action-packed, arcade-style gameplay. Play as a superpowered humanoid in a distant star system, waging war single-handedly against an evil enemy armada. Master the unique Revolver System to capture and defeat enemies

As a gameplay programmer and designer, I studied the popular bullet hell series Touhou Project to design the bullet patterns used in this game. We built the game in our custom engine, and I implemented the UI system to ensure the player had all the necessary information. As a designer, I conducted playtests at Uncle’s Games, GameStop, and other locations to gather player feedback and ensure the gameplay felt natural and was easy for players to understand.
